Man Sentenced to Probation for Mashpee Standoff

Falmouth District Court - 2FALMOUTH – The man who barricaded himself inside a Mashpee business in July was sentenced to two years of probation Wednesday.

41-year-old Patrick Perkins, of East Falmouth, was sentenced to 75 days in prison, already served. If he abides by guidelines set by the court, he will see no more jail time.

Police say Perkins was despondent during a 7-hour armed standoff at the Audio Video Solutions store on Route 28. Perkins fired a shot during the incident, nobody was injured.

Perkins must stay alcohol and drug free and participate in mental health treatment. He is not allowed to possess firearms.
