Man With Ties to Cape Cod Among Oakland Fire Victims

OAKLAND, CA – A man with ties to Cape Cod is among the victims in the deadly Oakland warehouse fire.

Ben Runnels was a musician and was among at least 36 people who perished in the blaze. Friends and family have been posting remembrances on social media.

Runnels spent time on Cape Cod, working at Cape Cod Broadcasting and hosting a morning show on Cape Country 104.

Runnels was 32.

Runnels, who also went by the name Charlie Prowler, was being remembered by friends and colleagues on social media as a good friend and outstanding musician.
