BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable Town Council will take up two main subjects at tonight’s meeting.
The first is a vote on a million dollar project to dredge the Cotuit Bay entrance. Town Manager Mark Ells told councilors at their August meeting that the area needs a three phase dredging plan in order to allow for safe boating.
In other action the Council is expected to discuss allowing retail recreational marijuana shops in town. A vote last month on allowing the retail outlets was put off after a procedural move by Councilor James Tinsley, a marijuana proponent, moved the matter to tonight’s meeting.
