Marine Fisheries Advisory Committee Launches Climate Info Survey

WOODS HOLE – The Marine Fisheries Advisory Committee is seeking feedback from stakeholders and the public on climate change and potential impacts to local fisheries.

The committee is conducting a survey to help learn more about the information resources fishery stakeholders need regarding changing environmental conditions and the effects on fisheries, aquaculture and coastal communities.

The voluntary survey includes 14 questions and will take about 10 minutes to complete.

The committee hopes to gather information on the types of information rescources needed and used, the leaders and sources that are trusted and which information formats are the most useful.

The survey responses will help the committee frame recommendations for NOAA to best share and communicate climate information to stakeholders.

Stakeholders are encouraged to share the link to the survey with others and it will be open through Friday, November 25.
