Marine GPS, Chart Reading the Focus of Two-Part Course

Coast Guard BoatORLEANS – Sailors, power-boaters and paddlers of all kinds may be interested in a marine navigation course the Coast Guard will offer this month.

U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Nauset Flotilla 11-06 will offer a two-part “GPS for Mariners” course on two successive Thursday evenings, May 19th and May 26th, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Orleans Yacht Club.

Coast Guard-certified instructors will teach the basics of marine navigation, reading and using marine charts and choosing the right GPS.

Registration is required, with a total cost of $40.
