SANDWICH – A Marstons Mills man was arraigned this week on multiple drug charges after police found him passed out from a drug overdose at the Hess gas station on Route 130 in Sandwich.

Rene A. Dansereau, 28, of Newtown Road in Marstons Mills was charged with possession of heroin, Suboxone strips, and a Buprenorphine tablet and possession with intent to distribute Methadone tablets, Clonopin tablets, and marijuana.

Sandwich police officers responded to the gas station at 336 Route 130 on Friday at about 11:30 p.m. for a report of a man slumped over the wheel of his vehicle.

When Sandwich Police Officers Dan Perkins and Brian Fernandes approached the car, they saw a syringe loaded with a brown liquid and spoon in Dansereau’s lap.

Police say searches of Dansereau’s vehicle and backpack revealed a large array of narcotics, scales and packaging materials and $782.
