Marstons Mills Road Work to Begin

BARNSTABLE – Construction is slated to begin this week on the Marstons Mills Village Improvement Project.

Crews will be working on Route 149, Main Street, and River Road.

The initial phase of the project includes installing signage, installing erosion control measures and lane markings.

The work will go on until the springtime and then be suspended for the summer season. Normal work days will run from 7 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.

Town officials say the roads will be open during the work but caution that there will be periodic road closures and advise motorists to avoid the area if possible.

The Barnstable Department of Public Works will be providing updates as the project progresses, they will be provided on the DPW’s website.
