Mashpee Firefighters and Police Unions Hold 5 Day Toy Drive Starting December 7

Mashpee Police logoMASHPEE – The Mashpee Firefighter and Police Unions are collecting unwrapped toys, non-perishable food and cash for the third year in a row at the Mashpee Rotary.

The effort will be going on 24 hours a day for five days, starting at 8 a.m. on December 7 and continuing until 2 p.m. on December 11.

Items donated will be going to the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod and for the Food Pantry at Christ the King in Mashpee.

The toys will be available for local low income and needy families at the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod beginning on December 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“We could not believe the generosity of the Mashpee first responders last year when they literally lived at the rotary for an entire week, and to have them out there in the cold for 5 days again this year is just amazing and so wonderful,” said Ruth Provost, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club.
