Mashpee Looks to Add Dead Neck to Dregding and Renourishment Project

MASHPEE – The Army Corps of Engineers is accepting public comment on an addition to a Mashpee dredging and beach nourishment project.

The town is looking to add Dead Neck to three other beaches that will receive over 27,000 cubic yards of material dredged from Waquoit Bay and three areas in Popponesset Bay.

Wills Work Road Beach, Popponesett Spit and South Cape Beach will also be renourished.

Public comments will be accepted through June 1 and can be sent to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, Regulatory Division (ATTN: Kevin Kotelly), 696 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742-2751.
