Chief Scott Carline issued a statement that said he was fully aware of the situation that happened on March 4.

“Once I became aware of this incident, I immediately ordered an internal investigation into the facts and circumstances surrounding the video.

Ryan Ridenour, 27, can been seen in the video sitting in the passenger seat of a car, with officers attempting to get him out of the vehicle.

At one point, a Taser is used on Ridenour, who had an active arrest warrant out of Wrentham District Court for assault and battery on a police officer.

The video reportedly first surfaced on Facebook and was broadcast Thursday night on New England Cable News.

Attorney Peter Aspesi, who represents Ridenour, said he’s been meeting with investigators.

“I know that Chief Carline has been taking the matter very seriously. I’ve had conversations with him as it relates to this matter. I’ve also been present when they’ve interviewed some of the witnesses,” said Apsesi.

Carline said the internal investigation has been completed, but the results are not yet being released.

“Due to the nature of the pending prosecution the results of the internal investigation will be withheld until the completion of this case at which time I look forward to releasing the internal investigation in its entirety,” Carline said it a statement.

Ridenour will be back in Falmouth District Court next month.
