MASHPEE – Mashpee’s Police Chief is getting ready to end his time at the department and walk into Town Hall.

Rodney Collins last day in the position is Saturday, but will still hold the title of Police Chief until he his sworn in as the new Town Manager on July 17.

Collins replaces Joyce Mason who served as the Town Manager for 13 years and retired on Tuesday.

As Town Manager, Collins will have the authority to hire is successor in the police department.
