HYANNIS – Gas prices in Massachusetts are down a penny over the past week.
AAA Northeast reports that self-serve, regular unleaded is selling for an average of $2.50 per gallon.
That price is seven cents below the national average and 12 cents lower than at this same time in 2018.
“Since the end of October, gasoline demand has mostly decreased as gasoline stocks have mostly increased, paving the way for cheaper gas prices,” said Mary Maguire, Director, Public and Legislative Affairs.
“AAA expects stocks to continue to grow and drive gas prices even cheaper through year-end.”
Prices on Cape Cod are between $2.42 and $2.99, according to GasBuddy.com.
