BOSTON (AP) — Gasoline prices in Massachusetts have dipped again in the past week and are now lower than $2 per gallon in some places.
AAA Northeast reported Monday that self-serve, regular has dropped to an average of $2.19 per gallon, down 4 cents from last week.
According to gasbuddy.com, regular unleaded gasoline on Cape Cod currently ranges from $2.25 to $2.50 a gallon.
Lower crude oil prices, record supplies, and lower demand as the summer driving season ends are contributing to the falling prices.
The Massachusetts price is 21 cents lower than a month ago and $1.20 lower than at the same time last year.
The Bay State price is also a dime lower than the national average.
AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $1.99 and as high as $2.69 per gallon.
