Massachusetts Gas Prices Down A Penny

HYANNIS – Gas prices in Massachusetts ticked dropped a penny over the last week.

AAA Northeast reports that the average price of a gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded in the Bay State is $2.79.

That price is three cents higher than the national average and 32 higher than at the same time last year.

“Gas prices are at their lowest since back in the spring,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for AAA Northeast. “If the crude oil market remains steady, prices in the short term will likely continue to fall.”

According to GasBuddy.com, prices of Cape Cod are selling for as low as $2.69 per gallon.
