BOSTON (AP) — The average cost of a gallon of gas in Massachusetts has dropped for the 12th consecutive week.
AAA Northeast says it latest weekly survey released Monday shows that a gallon of self-serve, regular has dropped another nickel to an average of $2.14.
That price is 15 cents per gallon lower than the national average, 20 cents lower than the Bay State price a month ago, and $1.24 lower than the Massachusetts price a year ago.
According to gasbuddy.com, self-serve unleaded regular ranges from $2.19 to $2.49 a gallon on Cape Cod.
AAA found self-serve, regular selling statewide for as low $1.94 per gallon and as high as $2.69.
