HYANNIS – Gasoline prices in Massachusetts have dropped three cents over the past week.
AAA northeast reports that the average price of self-serve, regular unleaded in the Bay State is $2.83 per gallon.
The price is four cents below the national average, but 65 cents higher than the same time last year.
“An increase in gasoline inventories in the northeast has helped keep prices stable in states throughout the region,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs.
According to GasBuddy.com, prices on Cape Cod are between $2.83 and $3.16.
