HYANNIS – Gas prices in Massachusetts have reached an 18 month low after they dropped another nickel over the past week.
AAA Northeast reports that self-serve, regular unleaded is selling for an average of $2.34 per gallon in the Bay State.
That price is seven cents higher than the national average and 22 cents lower than at this time in 2018.
“The northeast continues to have some of the strongest supplies of gasoline anywhere in the country,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for AAA Northeast. “This has helped keep prices from rising, unlike the jumps being seen in half of the nation.”
According to GasBuddy.com, prices on Cape Cod range from $2.23 to $2.69.
