HYANNIS – Gas prices remained level in Massachusetts over the past week.
AAA Northeast reports that self-serve, regular unleaded is selling for $2.70 per gallon.
That price is six cents lower than the national average and ten cents lower than at this same time last year.
“Gasoline stocks remain robust amid a recent dip in demand, which could be one reason we are seeing pump prices stable or starting to roll back,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for AAA Northeast.
“It is too soon to know if this is a long-term trend, but it is certainly a welcome relief for motorists.”
According to Gasbuddy.com, prices on Cape Cod are between $2.59 and $2.99.
