Massachusetts Gas Prices Remain Unchanged from Last Week

HYANNIS – Gasoline prices in Massachusetts remain unchanged from last week.

AAA Northeast reports that the average price of a gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded in the Bay State is selling for $2.87.

That price is three cents above the national average and 67 cents higher than the same time last year.

“An increase in crude oil production was announced at last week’s OPEC meeting, at least 600,000 barrels per day,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs. “It is yet to be determined whether or not the increase in production will be enough to dramatically reduce gasoline prices. In the U.S., pump prices will not immediately be impacted.”

According to GasBuddy.com, prices on Cape Cod are between $2.87 and $3.14.
