Massachusetts Gas Prices Unchanged from Last Week

HYANNIS – Gas prices are remaining the same this week in Massachusetts.

AAA Northeast reports the average for self-serve, regular unleaded is selling for $2.84 per gallon in the Bay State.

That price is five cents lower than the national average and 33 cents higher than the same time last year.

“Consumer gasoline demand across the country has declined for a third week,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for AAA Northeast. “Gas prices may be signaling that they are taking a turn toward slowly decreasing.”

According to GasBuddy.com, prices on Cape Cod are between $2.69 and $3.09.
