BARNSTABLE – A bill backed by a Cape lawmaker and co-sponsored by Senator Dan Wolf (D-Harwich) in the Senate now heads to Governor Patrick’s office for approval.
State Representative Brian Mannal (D-Centerville) filed a bill that would bar unlicensed massage providers from advertising services online.
Only licensed massage therapists are allowed to advertise in print media, but that law does not apply to the internet.
This comes after police raided four Barnstable massage businesses they believed were actually fronts for prostitution.
