YARMOUTH – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will be close both directions of Station Ave. in Yarmouth to all traffic between Whites Path and Old Town House Road on Wednesday, November 16, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Station Avenue North Bound traffic will follow the posted detour onto Old Townhouse Road to West Yarmouth Road to White Rock and back to Station Ave.
Station Avenue South Bound traffic will follow the detour onto Whites Path to North Main Street back to Station Ave.
The closure is necessary to erect the steel trusses for the new rail trail bridge for the Dennis-Yarmouth Cape Cod Rail Trail Extension Project.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes in advance of the detour.
The scheduled work is tentative, weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
