ORLEANS – The Massachusetts Department of Transportation will host a design public hearing Wednesday night for road improvements in Orleans.
The hearing will focus on the proposed intersection improvements at Route 28, Route 39 and Quanset Road.
The proposed project calls for installing a roundabout, with ADA-compliant sidewalks. Bicycle accommodations consist of a five-foot bicycle lane on Route 28 and a wide travel land with shared lane markings on Route 39 and Quanset Road.
Views and comments made during the hearing will be reviewed and considered.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. at Orleans Town Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
