MassDOT: Repairs Caused Wednesday Delays at Sagamore Bridge

sagamore bridgeBOURNE – Traffic was backed up for miles on both sides of the Sagamore Bridge on Wednesday as crews were working at the Sagamore Bridge.

Crews contracted with MassDOT began emergency work to replace missing traffic guidance paddles around 10 a.m. at the side merge approach on Route 3 to the bridge.

To avoid further delays, MassDOT removed the crew from the site around 12 p.m.

The work was not completed, but MassDOT officials said that it will be performed at a later date that has yet to be determined.
