BOURNE – A public forum was held in Bourne Monday night on the proposed Cape Flyer stop underneath the Bourne Bridge.
Officials are hoping to build a platform where travelers going to the Upper Cape and the Islands can get off the train on the Cape side of the canal.
“There was one concern expressed by somebody about traffic generation, but there really is not going to be that much traffic generated,” said Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority Administrator Tom Cahir. “All those things are valid issues. It was an appropriate forum and a productive forum.”
Cahir will be meeting with Bourne selectmen tonight to discuss the proposal.
