HYANNIS – The Town of Barnstable is holding an informational meeting on planned improvements to the roadway and sidewalks in the area of Independence Drive, Attucks Lane, Kidd’s Hill Road and Phinney’s Lane.
The meeting is scheduled for this evening at 5:30 at the Hyannis Golf Course. Representatives from the Department of Public Works and the consultant working on the project will be on hand to answer questions and address concerns.
Plans call for design and signal improvements at Attucks Lane and Wilkins Lane, and also at Phinney’s Lane and Kidd’s Hill Road.
The town also plans to install sidewalks along Independence Drive and parts of Attucks Lane, Kidd’s Hill and Merchant Way. Sewer and water service improvements are planned for Merchant’s Way and Attucks Lane as well.
Town officials say the projects will address future concerns and needs for development in the area.
