Mid-Cape Cultural Council Announces Call for Artists

HYANNIS- Calling all artists! The Mid-Cape Cultural Council, in cooperation with the Town of Barnstable, is working to create a ‘HyArts Discovery Walk’.

The new initiative would include a series of interactive outdoor sculptures near, and on, the Hyannis waterfront, and they need your help.

If selected, artists may be asked to participate in making presentations, and the town may use the designs to promote the project. The MCCC has raised funds to cover artist fees, fabrication and installation of the artwork (approx. $2500-$5000 per installation).

In order to apply, artists must be over 18-years-old and can be working in any medium. Artists may also collaborate with each other as a design team. Artists that live and work on Cape Cod, year-round or seasonally, will receive priority.

The submission deadline is set for September 30th. Selected sculptures will be announced by October 31st.

For more information and what is required to apply, you can contact MCCC at [email protected] or visit facebook.com/MidCapeCouncil
