BUZZARDS BAY – Hundreds of cadets from Massachusetts Maritime Academy will get out of the cold next weekend as they depart for warmer waters on the annual Sea Term.
The T.S. Kennedy is scheduled to leave Buzzards Bay on January 13 for a nearly two-month voyage with ports of call in Barbados, Jamaica, Columbia, Tampa and a brief humanitarian aid drop off in Haiti.
During the trip cadets will rotate through class and laboratory training, handle ship operations and perform maintenance and emergency drills.
