Mobile Pumpout Service Returns for Bass River Boaters

YARMOUTH – Friends of the Bass River and Yarmouth’s Division of Natural Resources will once again offer free mobile pumpouts for boaters on the river during the summer season.

From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend the town’s pumpout boat will be stationed off Boaters Beach (East Beach) and can be waived down or contacted on channel 66.

Boaters will also be able to schedule a pumpout on Mondays where their boat is moored. For instructions on how to schedule a Monday mobile pumpout visit the Friends of Bass river website by clicking here.

The Packet Landing pumpout station near the Route 28 bridge is also available seven days a week by contacting the Division of Natural Resources at 508-760-4800.

The station and mobile pumpout boat are free resources available to all boaters on Bass River to assist them in complying with the “No Discharge Zone” regulations.
