Monomoy Educators Complete Graduate-Level Trauma Training

HARWICH – Twenty educators from the Monomoy Regional School District have completed graduate-level training in Trauma and Learning from Lesley University’s Center for Inclusive and Special Education.

The training aims to teach educators how to be aware of children’s trauma and its impact at school.

Academic, social, and emotional affects are examined, and approaches are developed to ensure learning without trauma is implemented within the classroom and school.

The group of 20 consists of teachers, counselors, and administrators from Chatham Elementary School, Harwich Elementary School, Monomoy Regional Middle School, and Monomoy Regional High School.

More Monomoy educators are currently participating in the program.
