Provincetown Monument And Museum Wraps Up Strong Year

PROVINCETOWN – 2017 at the Pilgrim Monument and Provincetown Museum was filled with new events, engagement with the community and educational programs.

Executive Director David Weidner said the overall number is impressive.

“We did 47 events to open them up to the community and the world,” he said.

To kick off the season, 300 people took part in the first ever Easter egg hunt.  Throughout the year, free admission was offered on Wednesday nights as well as Mother’s and Father’s Day.

Weidner said they won’t be taking much time off during the holiday season.  “We are open through the 23rd, regular hours 9-5, then we’re going to close a few days for staff and re-open on the 28th,” he said.

There will be a fund raising event on January 1st, featuring Champagne, oysters, hors d’oeuvres and an amazing view of the fireworks.  It will run from 4-6.
