HYANNIS – The next phase of the Route 28-Bearses Way intersection construction project begins Tuesday.
Traffic traveling southbound on Bearses Way will be detoured at Route 28. Drivers will have to head east toward the Airport Rotary and then southwest on Walton Avenue to rejoin Bearses Way.
Northbound traffic on Bearses Way will not be detoured at the Route 28 intersection.
Access to local businesses in the area will be allowed.
Work hours are scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The detours are scheduled to wrap up on Friday, April 6.
Town officials are asking drivers to use caution when traveling through the work area and are advising motorists to seek alternate routes, if possible.
