More Right Whale Deaths Confirmed in Eastern Canada

CANADA – The Marine Animal Response Society has confirmed that two more right whale deaths in eastern Canada.

It brings the total number of right whale deaths this year in Canadian waters to eight.

One was a male spotted floating off the Gaspe Peninsula by an aerial survey team.

The other was a floating whale off Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, initially spotted at the end of June.

The charitable organization said that there are only 400 North Atlantic right whales left in the world and the deaths are outpacing births.
