CENTERVILLE – MSPCA Cape Cod is holding a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday for their new adoption center.

The new center will be built on the organization’s current site in Centerville.

The MSPCA’s “Campaign for Cape Cod” has raised more than $2.5 million from over 350 donors to help fund the project, prompting construction to begin before the end of the year.

Once completed, the facility will include space for medical and behavioral evaluations, a modern treatment and spay and neuter clinic for homeless animals and a multi-purpose training and education room.

The new center will also feature space for a number of community programs, including rabies vaccination and microchip clinics and programs to socialize pet places with U.S. veterans and their families.
