Museum of Natural History to Feature Mandala Workshop

BREWSTER – The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is participating in the Spring ArtWeek 2019 Festival running April 26th to May 5th.

The Boch Center’s award-winning festival is presented in Massachusetts by Highland Street Foundation.

The Museum is presenting “Nature Circles Mandala Workshop: Making Art with Found Objects” with artist and writer, Beth Adoette Monday, April 29, 2019 11am-12:30pm as part of ArtWeek.

The workshop, and introduction to Eco-Art Wellness, incorporates mindfulness, introspection, and group discussion.

Each participant will create their own, individual nature mandala or “nature circle.”

All supplies and nature objects will be provided.

As nature mandalas are created to honor the moment and objects are meant to be shared with others reinforcing the idea of connection, mandalas will not be taken home.

But a photograph of each mandala will be given to each participant.

Born in the Appalachian Mountains, Beth grew up with beech trees, hemlock, mountain streams and chickadees in her hand.

Once an editorial illustrator, Beth now concentrates on writing, illustrating and photographing what she calls the “contemplative, sacred circles” she discovers or co-creates with nature.
