Museum of Natural History to Host Painting Courses For All Experience Levels

Natural HistoryBREWSTER – Local artists and hobbyists don’t have to have the capabilities of Renoir or JMW Turner to produce art inspired by nature.

A set of seven classes in May and June will coach participants in the fine arts of drawing and painting, focusing on natural subjects.

The course runs Thursdays from 9 to 11:30 a.m. May 5th to June 16th at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History on Route 6A.

They’ll be fronted by local artist Eve Aspinwall, who will provide participants of all skill levels with one-on-one time and the freedom to experiment with various color media and subjects.

Warm weather will also allow for working outdoors.

Those interested must sign up by sending an email to [email protected].

The cost is $30 per class; participants must bring a few 2B pencils, soft vine charcoal, a kneaded eraser and a 9×12 or larger sketchbook.
