MARTHA’S VINEYARD -Fixed wing aircraft will not be able to use the Martha’s Vineyard Airport on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.
The runways are closed for a repaving project.
Helicopters are still permitted as the $10 million dollar project is underway. It is expected to conclude Thursday night, weather permitting.
The reconstruction of the runways was begun in January, funding is coming through a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
