MV Runways Closed for Repaving

 

MARTHA’S VINEYARD -Fixed wing aircraft will not be able to use the Martha’s Vineyard Airport on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.

The runways are closed for a repaving project.

Helicopters are still permitted as the $10 million dollar project is underway. It is expected to conclude Thursday night, weather permitting.

The reconstruction of the runways was begun in January, funding is coming through a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation.
