New Martha’s Vineyard Airport Mananger Named

OAK BLUFFS -The Martha’s Vineyard Airport Commission has offered the job of airport director to the former head of a regional airport in Montana, according to a report in the Vineyard Gazette.

Cindi Martin is the former director of Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell.

If she accepts the position contract details and a start date will have be negotiated with the Commission.

The board voted 4-2 to offer Martin the position during a recent meeting that also saw member Clarence “Trip” Barnes abruptly resign.

Her 10 years of experience at Glacier Airport saw an increase in destinations served and growth in passengers and infrastructure. Glacier also sees a sharp uptick in traffic in summer.

If she accepts, Martin will replace outgoing airport director Ann Richart, who is taking a job in Nebraska.
