NANTUCKET – The ‘Legends of the LPGA’ are returning to Nantucket for the second annual Nantucket Golf Weekend this September benefiting Nantucket Cottage Hospital.
During the event, more than 200 golfers will gather on the island for a long weekend of golf and social events highlighted by the presence of some of the greatest female golfers in the history of the game.
Building on the 21-year success of the Swing for Nantucket Cottage Hospital, the Nantucket Golf Weekend will be highlighted by The LPGA Legends Pro Am, featuring 18 of the greatest names in women’s golf, including Jane Blalock, Pat Bradley, Donna Caponi, Laura Davies, Julie Inkster, Nancy Lopez and others.
Events will take place across the island at both Nantucket’s Miacomet Golf Club, which won the 2014 New England Golf Course of the Year award, along with the iconic Sankaty Head Golf Club September 8th thru the 10th.
Proceeds from the event will go to support Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s Walk-In Care service, which offers easy and convenient access to medical care for non-life-threatening conditions without the trip to the emergency room.
