Nantucket Man Wins $4 Million on Scratch Ticket

NANTUCKET – A Nantucket man is $4 million richer after buying a scratch ticket on the island.

Carlos Lemus elected for the one-time payment of $2.6 million after taxes. He plans to buy a new house and says he will donate a portion of the winnings to charity.

Lemus bought the ticket at Mid Island Fuel on Sparks Avenue. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus from the Massachusetts State Lottery.

The lottery reports five $1 million grand prizes remain in the “100x” instant game, the specific scratch game Lemus played.
