NANTUCKET – More than two dozen organizations were honored earlier this month at the Community Foundation for Nantucket’s annual Grants Recipient Reception.
Over $170,000 was awarded to 26 nonprofits whose missions and programs most closely align with the island’s greatest needs, including affordable housing, behavioral health, child enrichment, education, health, nutrition, diversity and elder well-being.
Every year the CFN convenes members of the Nantucket community to identify and discuss the most pressing current needs, a practice that allows the Community Foundation to be to be strategic in our grant making process around priorities identified by community leaders.
