Narcan Training Scheduled at Cape Cod Community College

West Barnstable – A free Narcan training session is being offered at Cape Cod Community College next week.

The event is designed to raise awareness of the staff, faculty and students of the Four C’s community. The goal is to help people recognize the symptoms of an overdose and learn how to respond.

It is free to the public and sponsored by the Aids Support Group of Cape Cod.

Donna Mello, a Harm Reduction Manager with the Aids Support Group, will conduct the training. Some of the topics included will be where to obtain Narcan, how it works and its efficacy, and a discussion of the differences between Fentanyl and Heroin, among other topics.

The session will be held in Lecture Hall B Monday, October 23rd, at 2 pm.
