National Grid Says They’re Ready for Tropical Storm Hermine

national gridHYANNIS – With Tropical Storm Hermine predicted to bring gusty winds, rains and high surf to New England, National Grid says they’re ready for any service interruptions.

The company said that they are closely monitoring the weather and its electricity and natural gas systems and ensuring that they have adequate resources.

“Especially during this month, which is Emergency Preparedness Month, it’s a good idea to take any storm potential seriously and get prepared,” said National Grid vice president of New England electric operations Dan Bunszell. “We are urging customers to take precautions and prepare for the challenges this weather could bring.”

National Grid has mobilized additional crews and equipment resources across the Commonwealth to restore any power outages as quickly and safely as possible.

The company advises customers to be prepared in case there are service interruptions.

Customers who experience an outage should call National Grid at 1-800-465-1212.
