HYANNIS – National Grid is performing gas main infrastructure upgrades in the area of South Street, High School Road, Ocean Street and Old Colony Road in Hyannis.
The main replacement project is expected to be completed in June.
Improvements include marking underground utilities, excavation of the street and installation of the new gas main.
Work will be ongoing, weather permitting and runs 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Barnstable Town Officials ask that drivers slow down and use caution when traveling through the construction areas.
