National Marine Life Center Looks for Summer Interns

BOURNE – The Cape is covered in snow from the first major storm of the winter but a local organization is already looking to the summer.

The National Marine Life Center in Bourne is looking for qualified students for its summer internship program.

Marine Animal Rehabilitation/Education interns will assist staff and volunteers with education projects and animal husbandry.

Marketing and Development interns will help with fundraising, public relations and social media.

The positions are unpaid and interns must have their own transportation. Housing is not provided.

The internships are open to students who are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an accredited college or university. High school students may also apply.

Preference will be given to students working towards biology, environmental, marine science, education or other related fields.

Summer interns should be available from May 23 through August 21 and expect to work between 30 to 40 hours per week.
