CAPE COD- Officials with the Cape Cod National Seashore are gearing up for their 2018 Highlands Fest with this year’s theme of ‘Right Here Right Now.’

Inspired by the Center for Coastal Studies ‘1,000 Friends of Right Whales Emergency Initiative,’ Right Here Right Now brings attention to the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale population.

The event will feature live music, a Right Whale exhibit, a wave observation walk with the Center for Coastal Studies, activities with Cape Cod Healthcare, mural painting with AmeriCorps Cape Cod, and more.

This event is meant to capture the essence of the Highlands Center partner’s initiatives to lead more sustainable and healthy lifestyles that benefit our planet.

Festivities kick off this Saturday, June 30th from 10a.m. to 1p.m at the Seashores Highland’s Center.
