EASTHAM – Photographs of the ocean, bay, and pond beaches of the Cape Cod National Seashore will be on display throughout November at the Salt Pond Visitor Center.

The works of Gerald Cohen will be featured as part of the Perspectives: Seeing Cape Cod National Seashore through Art series.

Cohen has been an avid nature photographer for over 20 years and has been drawn to the settings of Cape Cod, particularly the seashore, since he was a child.

Cohen, who lives in Brookline and summers in Wellfleet, had a solo exhibit, “Seaside Impressions,” earlier this year at the Dover Town Library in Dover, Mass.

He also had one of his photographs included in the 2015 Wellfleet Blossoms exhibition.

Cohen said he hopes the photos in his exhibit “will remind us of the importance of preserving the natural, timeless beauty of the national seashore.”

A reception for Cohen and the exhibit will be held on Saturday, November 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Salt Pond Visitor Center at the intersection of Route 6 and Nauset Road in Eastham.

Comments

  1. I viewed Cohen’s photographs that were exhibited at the Dover Town Library earlier this year. He captures the aliveness of the sky interacting with the sea and the shore. At times I almost expected the images to start moving.
