EASTHAM – The Cape Cod National Seashore will host an afternoon of science discussions later this month.
For the seventh straight year the Science in the Seashore Symposium comes to the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham on Thursday, September 14 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.
The seashore’s Atlantic Research and Learning Center, which is one of the nineteen research and learning centers throughout the National Park System, is hosting the event.
The symposium features a diverse collection of scientists and scholars who will share details on the natural and cultural research projects underway within the boundaries of the National Seashore.
Presentations will be given on several topics, including seals, terns, whip-poor-wills, blue carbon, cranberry bog microbes, dragonflies and horseshoe crabs.
The program is funded by Friends of the Cape Cod National Seashore and is free and open to the public.
