National Seashore to Host Annual Science in the Seashore Symposium

EASTHAM – The annual Science in the Seashore Symposium returns to the Salt Pond Visitor Center in Eastham this month.

The popular program features a diverse group of scientists and scholars sharing the natural and cultural research projects underway within the seashore with the public.

The symposium is Thursday, September 13 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

The event provides an opportunity for residents to learn about the research at the national seashore through brief and engaging presentations on a variety of topics, including roseate turns, coastal breaches, blue carbon, predation in the Herring River, East Harbor water quality and more.

The Atlantic Research and Learning Center at the national seashore, which is hosting the event, is one of nineteen research and learning centers in the National Park system.

The symposium is free and open to the public.
