EASTHAM – A public conversation regarding ecological, social and economic change in the Outer Cape will be held tonight from 7 to 8:30 at the Salt Pond Visitor Center.

The discussion will be led by University of Massachusetts Historian Dr. David Glassberg, co-author of “People and Places on the Outer Cape: A Landscape Character Study.”

Glassberg said that there have been dramatic changes in the area during the last half-century which threaten to alter specific landscape features.

Residents have already taken to Facebook to discuss the topic, www.facebook.com/changingcape.

The event is free and open to the public.
